History

This building was originally built in 1867 on private farmland, as St. Mark's Anglican Church. In 1892, it was moved to the heart of Cumberland village, where remained a beloved part of the community for over 150 years. While no longer a place of worship, it continues to have a familiar mission: bringing people together. At the crossroads of old and new, a unique and inclusive non-denominational event venue emerged: the Cumberland Belle.

The first time we saw this space, we fell in love with the cathedral ceilings, stained glass windows, and history. We wanted it to continue being a place where people came together - whether it be for weddings, music concerts, baby showers, book launches, or other events. In fact, we got married here in September 2021. But don’t take our word for it – come see for yourself what this beautiful space has to offer!

Sincerely,

Manal & Michael
